Open Trezor Suite®
1. What is Trezor Suite®?
Trezor Suite® is the official desktop and web interface for managing your crypto securely with a Trezor hardware wallet. It allows you to:
- Send and receive cryptocurrencies
- View transaction history
- Use advanced privacy tools like CoinJoin
- Install firmware and apps
- Set up and restore wallets
2. Download or Access Trezor Suite
You can use Trezor Suite via:
System Requirements:
- Windows 10+, macOS 10.14+, or major Linux distros
- Compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Brave
- USB-A or USB-C port to connect your Trezor
3. Connect Your Trezor Device
Plug in your Trezor Model T or Model One using the USB cable. Trezor Suite will detect your device and prompt setup or unlock depending on its state.
First time user? Make sure the package was sealed and untampered. Only initialize the device yourself using
trezor.io/start.
4. Install Firmware
If your Trezor is brand new, you’ll be prompted to install the firmware. Always verify firmware authenticity through the Trezor Suite interface.
- Follow on-screen prompts to install official firmware.
- Wait until your device displays confirmation.
- Reboot and reconnect your Trezor.
5. Create or Recover a Wallet
Once firmware is installed, choose:
- Create new wallet – for brand new setup
- Recover wallet – to restore using a recovery seed
Trezor will display a recovery seed (12, 18, or 24 words). Write it down using the supplied recovery sheet and never store it digitally.
Do not: Take a photo or store your seed in cloud storage, email, or any digital format.
6. Set a PIN
You will be prompted to choose a secure PIN to protect your device. Without the correct PIN, no one can access your wallet.
- Minimum: 4 digits, recommended: 6+
- Avoid repeating or sequential digits
7. Add Cryptocurrency Accounts
From the Trezor Suite dashboard:
- Go to “Accounts”
- Click “Add Account”
- Select the desired cryptocurrency (e.g., BTC, ETH, LTC)
Your device must approve each account addition. You can now receive and send funds securely.
8. Sending & Receiving Crypto
To Receive:
- Select an account in Suite
- Click “Receive”
- Verify the address on your Trezor screen
- Share address or QR code
To Send:
- Click “Send”
- Enter destination address and amount
- Confirm transaction on your Trezor device
9. Advanced Security Options
Trezor Suite supports several advanced features:
- Passphrase: Adds an extra word to your recovery phrase (power users only)
- Labeling: Tag accounts or transactions (encrypted through Dropbox)
- CoinJoin: Optional BTC privacy feature (available for Trezor Model T)
10. Stay Updated
Updates are critical for security. Trezor Suite will prompt you when updates are available. You can also:
